Vidisic Eye Gel 0.2% 10 g – Long-Lasting Dry Eye Relief & Lubrication
Vidisic Eye Gel 0.2% 10 g is a viscous ophthalmic gel specially formulated to provide extended hydration and comfort to dry, irritated eyes. Designed as a substitute for natural tears, this gel uses a high-molecular-weight carbomer polymer to create a clear, protective layer that adheres to the ocular surface, helping to retain moisture, reduce friction and support relief from persistent dryness symptoms.
Dry eye symptoms can occur for many reasons — including environmental factors, prolonged screen use, air conditioning, ageing, reduced tear production or incomplete eyelid closure — and may lead to discomfort, burning, foreign-body sensation or blurred vision. Vidisic Eye Gel is formulated to address these issues by providing long-lasting lubrication that closely mimics the tear film and offers relief throughout the day and night.
Key Features & Benefits
Advanced Moisture Retention: The active ingredient carbomer 0.2% w/w forms a hydrophilic film that retains moisture on the eye’s surface, helping to reduce evaporation and maintain comfort for extended periods.
Symptomatic Relief: Regular use can help soothe dry eye discomfort, including sensations of itching, burning, irritation and grittiness that often accompany tear film deficiency.
Artificial Tear Substitute: Acts as a tear substitute in conditions where natural tear production is reduced or insufficient, supporting ocular lubrication when the eyes cannot hydrate themselves efficiently.
Protective Action: The gel forms a lubricating film that guards the corneal surface from friction caused by blinking, thereby helping to protect against further irritation and supporting overall eye comfort.
Extended Duration: Because of its gel consistency, Vidisic stays longer on the eye surface than standard liquid eye drops, making it suitable for people with moderate to severe dry eye symptoms or those seeking relief overnight or during long periods without blinking.
Clinical Uses & Indications
Vidisic Eye Gel is intended for the symptomatic relief of dry eyes associated with conditions such as:
-
Dry eye syndrome (keratoconjunctivitis sicca)
-
Reduced tear production
-
Irritation caused by environmental factors (e.g., wind, dry air, screens)
-
Grittiness and burning sensations in the eyes
-
Discomfort due to prolonged visual tasks or contact lens wear (contact lenses should be removed before application and reinserted only after 15 minutes)
How to Use Vidisic Eye Gel
For best results, follow the usage directions below:
-
Wash your hands and ensure the eye area is clean.
-
Hold the tube upright and gently squeeze to instil 1 drop into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s).
-
Use the gel 3–5 times per day or as needed, including before sleep for overnight relief.
-
If using additional eye drops or medications, wait at least 5 minutes between applications to allow each product to distribute properly.
Note: Avoid touching the tip of the tube to the eye or any surface to maintain sterility and prevent contamination. After opening, discard any unused gel one month later.
Safety Information & Precautions
While Vidisic Eye Gel is generally well-tolerated, some important precautions should be considered:
-
Allergic reactions: Do not use if you are hypersensitive to carbomer or any excipients in the formulation.
-
Contact lens wearers: Remove soft contact lenses before application; wait at least 15 minutes after using the gel before reinserting lenses.
-
Irritation: Some users may experience temporary burning, stinging or foreign body sensation after application; discontinue use and consult a healthcare provider if irritation persists or worsens.
-
Blurred vision: Temporary blurred vision may occur immediately after application; wait for vision to clear before driving or operating machinery.
-
Avoid long-term use with preservatives: Vidisic contains cetrimide as a preservative, which may cause ocular irritation if used frequently or over prolonged periods — consider preservative-free alternatives for chronic dry eye management.
-
Pregnancy & breastfeeding: Consult a healthcare professional before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Store Vidisic Eye Gel in its original tube at a temperature below 25 °C, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Ensure the cap is closed tightly after each use. Do not use beyond the expiry date printed on the packaging. Dispose of any unused gel and packaging according to local regulations.
